We cannot say enough amazing things about ClearHaven Swim School and especially Hudson. His patience, calm energy, consistency, and ability to read her cues are something really special. He breaks skills down in a way that is safe, structured, and easy for her to understand — while still building real swimming ability and confidence in the water. For parents of autistic children, finding someone who can genuinely connect with your child while also teaching critical water safety skills can feel impossible. Hudson has built trust with our daughter in a way that has exceeded every expectation we had.

Our son has been attending swim lessons with Hudson and has learned so much during his time with him. Hudson is so patient and deploys many techniques to keep his students on track with the lesson, while balancing fun. Our son really likes Hudson and looks forward to his lessons with him. We would highly recommend ClearHaven Swim School to anyone who has children who need to learn how to swim or improve their swimming.

What Families Are Saying About Us

We cannot say enough amazing things about Clear Haven Swim School and especially Hudson, who works 1:1 with our 6-year-old nonverbal autistic daughter. Watching him teach her has been incredible. He doesn’t just know how to teach swimming — he truly understands how to adapt his instruction to the way she learns and processes information. His patience, calm energy, consistency, and ability to read her cues are something really special. He still make sure she has fun in session as well! What stood out most to us is how intentional he is with every technique. He breaks skills down in a way that is safe, structured, and easy for her to understand, while still building real swimming ability and confidence in the water. You can see his knowledge of swim instruction in every interaction, but what makes him exceptional is how naturally he adjusts those methods for children with different communication and sensory needs. His understanding of Autism is amazing, and he is customizing her instruction specifically for her. For parents of autistic children, finding someone who can genuinely connect with your child while also teaching critical water safety skills can feel impossible. Hudson has built trust with our daughter in a way that has exceeded every expectation we had. We are beyond grateful for the progress she has made and for the care, professionalism, and dedication he brings to every lesson. Truly, I never thought I would find someone that would have the skills in swim instruction and understanding of non-verbal autism ever. It has been amazing to have Hudson working with out daughter.Posted on ZerenelleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hudson is a close family friend who has made an incredible impact on our family. Working with my younger brother (8 years old), who has special needs, he showed unwavering patience, kindness, and genuine care. Hudson didn’t just teach him how to swim—he helped him feel safe, confident, and excited in the water. For a family that grew up around the ocean and loves it deeply, being able to share that joy with my little brother is something we will never take for granted. Watching him smile, grow, and truly enjoy swimming has been incredibly emotional for all of us and well worth every session. Hudson’s knowledge truly surprised us, and his approach was highly effective. Given the opportunity, I highly recommend at least trying the free 30-minute session like we did—we were all in after seeing how well Hudson adjusted his approach and guidance after first contact with my little brother. The results speak volumes and we are very grateful. Thank you Hudson! 10/10Posted on Andy ChouTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hudson is an awesome swim instructor. My sister has a learning disability and can be quick to frustrate and give up. Hudson has an excellent balance of firmness and fun that actually led to her being able to swim independently. After only a few months. I cannot recommend Hudson enough.Posted on Aunt DiniTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am incredibly impressed with Hudson and the remarkable progress my grandson Leo has made under his guidance. Leo, who is severely autistic and non-verbal, previously had a fear of water and wasn’t comfortable with his face getting wet. Thanks to Hudson’s incredible patience, understanding, and skill, Leo is now confidently swimming and has completely overcome his fear of the water. This was not an easy task because Leo was resistant, but Hudson found new and creative ways to get Leo into the pool and eventually swimming. Now Leo gets right in. I highly recommend Hudson as a swim coach to any child.Posted on Dennis PerezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very attentive.
